Now, with iOS 4.2, alarms will also fire when the application Clock Pro HD is closed! No need to keep the application running anymore.
IIt is only possible to play a short sound (30 second max) when receiving an alarm when the application is closed. So if you want to hear your music as alarm, you still will have to keep Clock Pro HD running in foreground.
